Hillary’s campaign faced a lack of support from millennials. As the primary elections forged ahead, this fact became even more pronounced. We saw an opportunity to engage this key audience segment, developing a brand new emoji platform and campaign strategy to activate young voters to extraordinary success.
GOAL
Capitalize on a key news event—Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of Hillary—and give supporters a new way to celebrate.
HOW WE DID IT
We created two brand new Hillarymojis in anticipation of the announcement. With the ability to update emojis in real time without the need for App Store approval, we were able to release the new emojis within one hour of the news breaking.
Push notifications, a social media push, and press announcements extended the reach of the release.

- 60% of users engaged with the app following the push notification
- 30% of users shared them app.
